STATE FARM AND FIRST AMERICAN

1.  On April 26, 2020 we have a slab leak. 2.  On April 27, 2020 we reported the slab leak to State Farm and First American. 3.  On April 30, 2020 Titouah sent by First American, came to do a leak detection survey on the source where the leak comes from. We asked from Titouah for his leak survey report. He refused to give us one. Anyway, we discuss options to repair the leak. First Option is to access the leaking pipe and repair pipe. The cost is $700 and well covered by our insurance policy under First American Home Warranty. The second option is not to repair the leaking pipe but to just to reroute the leaking hot water line outside of the slab so that any leak to that line would easily be detected if ever a leak develop again in the future. But it would entail a $3600 out from our pocket and all insurance proceeds due to slab leak be paid to Titouah. That same day you have assigned and sent ML plumbing to do the repair. The plumber named “JUGO” looked at it and said that he will send someone to do the leak detection and had referred us to a water restoration company because he saw that our floor was flooded. The following day I haven’t heard back from ML Plumbing nor from any First American representatives. If I haven’t called and followed up myself I wouldn’t figure out that the one you just sent out as your “authorized contractor” doesn’t have the ability to perform the leak detection. How absurd.
